Backend Engineer

You’ll work on the APIs and infrastructure behind Crawlhub’s scraping and proxy products. That means handling slow websites, failed requests, and changing page structures while keeping our own systems understandable and efficient. You’ll help decide how a feature works, ship it, and follow what happens in production.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain APIs, background jobs, and integrations for web data collection.
• Improve request handling, retries, rate limits, and error reporting.
• Investigate performance and reliability issues using logs and practical tests.
• Work with frontend and commercial teammates to turn customer needs into clear technical decisions.

What you’ll bring

• Experience building backend services with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or a comparable stack.
• A solid grasp of HTTP, REST APIs, SQL databases, and asynchronous work.
• Good judgment about security, testing, and the cost of running a service.
• Clear written communication and the ability to take a piece of work from problem to release.

Experience with scraping, browser automation, proxies, or distributed job queues would be useful.
